Dr. Immordino-Yang and her team are studying how expert teachers go about their work, and how they feel and think about teaching and learning. We are especially interested in understanding the social, emotional and cognitive work that effective teaching in under-resourced urban communities requires.  The study is funded by the Templeton Foundation and other sources.
